This policy covers the website of Huggins Accident Injury Lawyer, a trade name of Huggins Accident Injury Lawyer, LLC, at 1050 Crown Pointe Parkway, Suite 500, Atlanta, GA 30338. Attorney Gary D. Huggins is responsible for the site.

What we collect

When you use the contact form or the chat assistant, we collect what you choose to give us:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address, if you provide it
  • Your message, such as what happened, when it happened, whether you’ve seen a doctor and a good time to call
  • The page you were on when you contacted us, and whether you wrote in English or Spanish
  • The messages you type into the chat

Some information is collected automatically:

  • Analytics cookies. We may use Google Analytics, which records the pages you view, your device and browser, your approximate location and how you found the site.
  • Server logs. Our hosting servers may log your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit.
  • Spam protection. The site briefly keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address to limit repeated form and chat submissions.
  • Chat history in your browser. The chat saves your conversation in your browser’s temporary session storage, which clears when you close the tab.

Why we collect it

  • To call, text or email you back about your inquiry
  • To see whether Gary can help and to check for conflicts of interest
  • To schedule and prepare for your consultation
  • To keep the site working and learn which pages help visitors
  • If you become a client, to work on your case under a separate written agreement

Who receives it

  • Our firm, by email. Form and chat requests are emailed to the firm so Gary’s office can respond.
  • The site’s database. A copy of each request is stored in the website’s database, which only people authorized by the firm can access.
  • Service providers. Companies and people who host and manage the website, deliver email and provide analytics handle data for us. When the chat assistant uses artificial intelligence to answer a question, your recent chat messages go to an AI service provider to write the reply. We share information with providers only so they can serve us.
  • When the law requires it. We may disclose information to comply with a subpoena, court order or other legal duty, or to protect someone’s safety.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Phone calls and text messages

When you submit the form or book through the chat, you agree that Gary’s office may contact you by phone, text message or email about your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply.

You can tell us to stop at any time by replying “stop” to a text or by calling (240) 421-5511, and we will honor it. You never have to accept texts to get help; you can always just call.

Cookies and Google Analytics

Google handles analytics data under its own privacy policy. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings or use Google’s opt-out browser add-on, and the site still works without them.

Please don’t send confidential details

Sending us a message does not make you a client. Until Gary confirms in writing that he represents you, please don’t send confidential details, Social Security numbers, account numbers or medical records.

The chat assistant is automated and is not a lawyer. Our legal disclaimer explains more.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry records as long as needed to respond, check for conflicts of interest and meet legal and professional record-keeping duties. If you hire the firm, your information becomes part of your case file.

How to delete your information

You can ask us to delete the information you sent through the website. Call (240) 421-5511 or write to us at 1050 Crown Pointe Parkway, Suite 500, Atlanta, GA 30338.

We will delete it unless a legal or professional duty requires us to keep it, and if so we will tell you. Analytics data held by Google follows Google’s own retention settings.

Security, children and changes

We use reasonable safeguards, but no website or email system is completely secure. This site is not meant for children under 13; a parent or guardian should contact us for a child. If we change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above.
