Where every client is family
That is the motto of Huggins Accident Injury Lawyer, and it shapes how the firm works. After a crash, you should get straight answers, a lawyer who knows your story, and respect for what your family is going through.
In practice, Gary explains things in plain words. He tells you the truth about your case, even when it isn’t what you hoped to hear. And he treats your problem as a real problem, not a file number.
One attorney, so you reach the lawyer on your case
Our firm is a one-attorney practice. Gary D. Huggins is the lawyer on every case, from the first consultation to the end of the claim. You are not handed off to another lawyer partway through.
Gary has practiced law for 20 years and is admitted in Georgia and Maryland. Before law school he worked in banking and commercial real estate.
His legal work has ranged from representing professional athletes to pro bono work for inner-city clients. Read Gary’s full background.

How a case runs with our firm
Every case has its own facts, but most move through the same stages:
- Your first call. The phone is answered 24/7. You share the basics: what happened, when, where and how you were hurt.
- A free consultation. Gary reviews the facts, the insurance and the deadlines, and tells you honestly whether he can help.
- Investigation. Once you hire the firm, Gary gathers the crash report, photos, video, witness accounts and medical records. He also tells the insurers that you have a lawyer.
- Treatment and records. You focus on recovery. Gary tracks your bills, lost income and the ways the injury has changed your daily life.
- Demand and negotiation. When the full picture is clear, Gary presents your claim to the insurance company and negotiates.
- A lawsuit, if needed. If the insurer won’t make a fair offer, Gary can file suit and prepare the case for trial. It is often filed in the State Court of the county where the crash happened or where the at-fault driver lives.
Georgia’s two-year deadline for most injury lawsuits keeps running the whole time (O.C.G.A. § 9-3-33), so Gary tracks it from the first day. How long a case takes depends on your recovery and on the insurer, and no one can promise a timeline.
Already getting calls from an adjuster? Call (240) 421-5511 and Gary will tell you what should happen next.

Common questions
How do I start a case with Huggins Accident Injury Lawyer?
Call (240) 421-5511, send the free case review form, or use the chat on any page. Gary’s office will set up a free consultation at the office, at your home or hospital, or by phone or video. If you decide to hire the firm, you’ll sign a written agreement first, and only that agreement makes you a client. Until then, keep in mind that Georgia’s filing deadlines keep running.
What kinds of cases does the firm handle?
Mostly injury claims: car, truck, motorcycle, Uber and Lyft, pedestrian, bicycle, bus and drunk-driving crashes; brain, spinal cord and other catastrophic injuries; wrongful death; premises liability; and dog bites. The firm also handles business law matters. If you aren’t sure your situation fits, call anyway and Gary will tell you honestly. You can also browse all practice areas.
Do you take cases outside Dunwoody and Atlanta?
Yes. The office is in Perimeter Center, but the firm represents people hurt anywhere in metro Atlanta, including DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett and Cobb counties, and elsewhere in Georgia. Gary can meet you by phone or video, or travel to your home or hospital. Where your case would be filed depends on who is being sued, often the State Court of the county where the crash happened.
Can my family and I work with the firm in Spanish?
Yes. Gary speaks Spanish, so you and your relatives can ask questions and go over documents with your attorney in Spanish. That matters when a family member is in the hospital and several people need to understand what is happening. Call (240) 421-5511 at any time, since the phone is answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
